Scope
Efforts supported through this Request for Proposals (RFP) will foster collaborations across faculty and build powerful partnerships to develop and implement Integrative Projects to address sustainability challenges in the food system.
Teams with a clear idea for Integrative Projects are invited to submit a Planning Grant proposal for support to further develop the idea and necessary partnerships. Faculty who attended the May 6, 2025 workshop with high impact ideas that do not fit into a forming Integrative Project are invited to submit a Starter Grant proposal.

Eligibility
To participate in this RFP, faculty or a representative of the project must have attended the workshop on May 6, 2025. Proposals must be submitted by an individual or interdisciplinary team of PI-eligible Stanford University active faculty. Faculty may not submit more than one proposal in which they are the lead PI.
Award Amount & Duration
Funding available is up to $100,000 for a 1-year Planning Grant and up to $50,000 for a 1-year Starter Grant.
Between 6 and 10 grants are anticipated during this award cycle.
No-cost extensions will not be available.
