Scope
Efforts supported through this Request for Proposals (RFP) will build on collaborations across faculty and partners to implement Integrative Projects to address sustainability challenges in the food system.
This Food Solution Area RFP will support faculty teams that seek to address key challenges in food system sustainability. Projects may address any issue that is centered on food systems. Possible topics include, but are not limited to, climate-resilient food systems, the true cost of food, blue foods, food innovation ecosystems, and emissions reductions. Proposals addressing other timely and compelling issues in food systems are welcome and will be given full consideration.

Eligibility
The lead Principal Investigator (PI) and co-PIs must be Stanford faculty or researchers who qualify as a Principal Investigator (PI) according to Stanford University Policy. Faculty may not submit more than one proposal in which they are the lead PI.
Award Amount & Duration
Funding available for the Food Integrative Projects is up to $2.3 million to be spent over a period of up to five years. We anticipate awarding up to two projects.
